Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters is suited to ALL ages from 0-100. Everybody can choose to get in the water for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Open daily from 9 am to 5pm. Please arrive by 3.30pm to catch the last tour.
Open every day of the year except for Christmas day.

Shallows Encounter

Wearing your own clothing and staying (mostly) dry, visitors wade in the sandy shallows of the new beach style lagoons, or sit on the rocks, feeding and petting the beautiful animals.

Shark Encounter

This is the same Shark Encounter Irukandji is famous for. Get wet, get right in, feed and interact with them while your tour guide offers a wealth of information about marine life and ocean conservation.

Tropical Snorkel

You will be entering the deeper water with an experienced guides, swimming all around with the amazing animals in a whole new underwater world (don’t forget the camera)

Important Information:

*Entry includes a complete guided journey and food for the Sharks and Rays.

*The “Shark Encounter” includes hire of wetsuits and socks if required. Snorkel pass also includes wetsuit, socks, snorkel and mask hire.

*Please note For Shark Encounter: Any children under 12 will need at least one accompanying adult in the water.

* A concession pass is for students, seniors and pensioners. Appropriate ID may be asked for upon entry, such as a pensioner card.  A student is anyone over 16 years and older with a valid student card from any Australian education institution. Students must show their current student ID.

* Child is anyone from ages 3 to 16. Children 11 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult or guardian aged 16 or over. Irukandji reserves the right to verify the age and identity of any unaccompanied minor or young guardians.
