Explore Our Habitats

The Lagoons of Irukandji

Our lagoons are home to more than 750 animals across 90 unique species, each living in habitats designed to mirror the beauty and complexity of the ocean. With sandy shores, rocky reefs, natural caves, crevices, burrows, and a flowing current, our environments offer endless enrichment, giving sharks, rays, and fish the space to explore, hide, play, and behave just as they would in the wild.

From the open-air Fingal Lagoon to the fully enclosed, temperature-controlled Tropical Lagoon, each pool is a thriving mini-ecosystem where animals feel safe, stimulated, and ready to interact. These dynamic habitats aren’t just incredible for marine life,  they also create unforgettable, up-close experiences for every visitor.
