Golbat

Help Golbat the Little Green Sea Turtle Heal

Meet Golbat, our brave little green sea turtle. She’s a gentle soul who has captured the hearts of everyone at the rescue center. Sadly, Golbat was one of the turtles extensively affected during the recent bay event, when harmful bacteria spread through the water. The infection damaged her beak, leaving her with severe facial injuries that make her recovery far more challenging than most.

Unlike her fellow patient Oddish, who is already making steady progress, Golbat faces a significantly longer rehabilitation journey. Her injuries mean she struggles with basic tasks like eating, and her care requires specialized veterinary support. Our team is working closely with experts to explore every option—including the possibility of prosthetics to give Golbat the best chance at a full and happy life.

But we can’t do this alone. Golbat’s treatment will involve:

  • Extended veterinary care and monitoring
  • Special feeding and rehabilitation support
  • Potential prosthetic solutions to restore her ability to thrive

Every donation, big or small, helps us provide the medical care, equipment, and time that Golbat desperately needs. By contributing, you’re not just helping one turtle you’re giving hope to a survivor who refuses to give up.

Help Oddish Heal and Return to the Ocean

Meet Oddish, a 10.2 kg green sea turtle who was rescued during the recent Port Stephens event. When we found her, she was severely immune compromised, struggling to survive in the wild. Thanks to the incredible work of our veterinary team, Oddish is now on the road to recovery—but her journey isn’t over yet.

She faces 4–5 months of intensive rehabilitation before she can safely return to her ocean home. During this time, she’ll need specialized care, nutritious feeding, pristine water conditions, and ongoing veterinary support to regain her strength.

Your donation makes this possible. Every contribution helps us provide the care Oddish needs to thrive and ensures she can swim free again where she belongs.

Will you join us in giving Oddish a second chance? Together, we can turn her story into one of hope and resilience.

Spearow

Support Spearow 11.6’s Healing Journey

Meet Spearow 11.6, a resilient little green sea turtle who is now facing one of the toughest battles of her life. Unlike Golbat, whose beak was damaged, Spearow’s beak is thankfully intact—but her entire skin was affected during the recent bay event. The bacterial outbreak left her with widespread injuries that require intensive care and constant monitoring.

Skin damage in turtles is especially serious. It impacts their ability to regulate body temperature, fight off infections, and even swim comfortably. Spearow’s rehabilitation will be long and complex, involving specialized treatments to restore her protective outer layer and prevent further complications.

Our veterinary team is working tirelessly to give Spearow the best chance at recovery. Her care plan includes:

  •  Ongoing medical treatments to heal her skin and prevent infection
  • Special water quality management to keep her environment safe
  • Nutritional support to boost her immune system
  •  Long-term rehabilitation to help her regain strength and confidence

Every donation directly supports Spearow’s journey. Your generosity helps fund the medicines, equipment, and expert care she needs to overcome this challenge. With your help, we can ensure Spearow doesn’t just survive—she thrives.

💚 How You Can Help

  • Donate today to provide Spearow with the care she urgently needs.
  • Share her story to raise awareness about the impact of environmental events on sea turtles.
  • Follow her progress as we update you on her healing milestones.

Spearow 11.6 is a fighter, and with your support, she can look forward to a brighter future in the ocean she calls home.

Help Us Rewild the Ocean One Zebra Shark at a Time

We are partnered with Reshark who has launched the world’s first shark rewilding program called StAR for Zebra Sharks, and we need your help to make it happen. Each zebra shark egg costs $1,400 to ship to Indonesia, where they’ll be nurtured and released into the wild to restore fragile reef ecosystems. Our goal is to send 60 eggs over the next three years, giving rise to a new generation of sharks and helping the ocean thrive again. Every contribution brings us closer to this groundbreaking conservation effort your support can turn the tide for marine life. Join us in making history.

Vileplum

Help Vileplum Swim Free Again

Meet Vileplum, an 8.6 kg Green Sea Turtle who came into our care battling severe gastrointestinal issues. When she arrived, she was weak and unable to feed herself a heartbreaking sight for a creature meant to roam the ocean freely.

Our dedicated team has crafted a three-month rehabilitation program to restore her health, teach her to eat on her own, and prepare her for a safe release back into Lake Macquarie early next year. This is her second chance at life in the wild, and we’re determined to make it happen.

But we can’t do it alone. Your generous support will cover specialized feeding, pristine water care, and essential veterinary services everything Vileplum needs to heal and thrive. Every dollar brings her closer to the waves she belongs to.

Will you help us give Vileplum the freedom she deserves? Together, we can turn her story into one of hope and resilience.
